The Southend Trades Union Council is the local voice of the TUC and provides a forum for Trade Union branches within the Southend on Sea area.

We seek to bring together local union activists and campaign around issues affecting working people in our workplaces and community.

Trades Union Councils have three campaign objectives:

RIGHTS: to raise public awareness of rights at work and the union role in enforcing those rights.

ORGANISATION: to promote organising and recruitment drives to build up union membership.

RESPECT: to support union and community campaigns for dignity and respect in the workplace and beyond

The Southend TUC meets on the first Wednesday of each month (with the exception of January and August).
